Saint Andrews

The beautiful city of Saint Andrews is perhaps best known for its rural charm. The residents of this quaint town never get tired of the scenic views and recreational opportunities in the heart of nature. It’s a wonderful destination spot or home for anyone who desires to reconnect with the wilderness or to enjoy the rich cultural significance of the area.

Some of the most common attractions for the area are all of the scenic waterways available. It isn’t uncommon to see residents using them for all sorts of purposes ranging from fishing to camping. The historic Red River is a dream location for an afternoon of picnicking and recreational activities outdoors.

You can take in the view with the River Road drive, home to a heritage park that houses a number of culturally significant sites. Residents can enjoy looking at the Scott House or visiting the location of old finishing schools. While some of the historic sites have since closed their doors to the public, it’s still an experience to stand in the spots where major pieces of history took place.

Of course, visiting historic sites may not appeal to every resident of this beautiful city. Some residents are far more interested in the endless number of opportunities to get involved in their community. The St. Andrews Community Club hosts tons of events ranging from youth playgroups to fitness classes to specialty classes on gardening or scrapbooking. The appeal of having a vibrant and involved community can’t be understated when considering all that Saint Andrews has to offer.

The services we offer can range from a few hours a week to full, 24×7 live in support.

Our family created Partners for Home, after our father was diagnosed with ALS in 2007. Since this time we have become experts in helping families understand and navigate through the options here in Manitoba for the highest possible Home Care experience.

Because of our how company works with the WRHA’s Self / Family Managed Home Care program, not only was our father able to remain in his home, but he continues to feel safe and remain a family contributor while maintaining his dignity. None of this would have been possible without this program. SFMC allows Manitoban’s through a private Agency to build a truly customized level of service specific to their individual needs. For our family, this meant our father could be helped out of bed at the time he wanted to be moved instead of waiting sometimes for hours for someone to arrive. Rather than having to deal with new people coming to our house almost every day, he could rely on the same Care Giver. This resulted in a less stressful environment for both our father and the Care Givers, as he no longer needs to retrain a new worker each and every day on how to move him. In addition, our father can have a shower as often as he wants, and is no longer limited to just one per week, which just was not enough. In addition, moving to the Self / Family Managed Home Care program, has enabled our family to develop meaningful relationships with the Care Givers that serve our family.

Our premier services offer everything you may need to make this a reality in your home. All of our services are highly personalized and customizable to meet the specific needs that your family requires. We can help with everything ranging from personal care to respite for the primary caregiver.

One of the most effective parts of our services is our commitment to helping clients continue to experience the social supports they’ve grown accustomed to over the years. They want to maintain their connection to the Saint Andrews community, something we can help to facilitate. We firmly believe that helping clients to maximize their social interactions provides them with more enjoyment in their daily life.

After all, isn’t staying home and in the community a valid part of the reason why you’re seeking home care to begin with?

Allow your loved one to continue experiencing the beauty of a picnic alongside the Red River or the enrichment of a class at the community center. Our care providers can help make this possible for the overall satisfaction of our clients and the families we serve.

Success between our caregivers and clients can frequently be influenced by the presence or absence of compatibility between the participants and we do not leave that factor to chance. Partners for Home leverages Insights Discovery, a world-class psychometric methodology which highlights an individual’s own strengths and weaknesses, communication style, approach to problems and value to a team. Insights Discovery is built to help people understand themselves, understand others and make the most of relationships that affect them.  This system has high value to our Clients and to all of our Home Care Partners. We know firsthand how important this is to our Clients and their family members.

Our trained home care specialists can also help with regular tasks and chores around the home. Light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation are all available to help maintain a safe quality of life. The specific services available are dependent upon the needs of each unique client.

While the client is certainly a valuable and important aspect of our care, we can’t forget about their family members. Primary caregivers can quickly experience exhaustion from caring for their loved one in a more fragile state. It can be overwhelming. This is why we are also proud to offer respite and support to the primary caregivers who need assistance to balance their daily realities and requirements.

Partners for Home relishes the opportunity to be a part of the tight-knit community in Saint Andrews. We want to make your living experience more pleasant while still providing the assistance and care you need.
